How to Use the Land Matters Maps

Navigating the Land Matters Maps is easy.

LAYERS - A Map Layer is a set of geo-referenced data that can be displayed in the map window. The layer list is on the right side of the map.

To Add a new Layer to your Map:

      CHECK the box in front of the Layer Name
      CLICK the REFRESH tool - You MUST click this symbol to display the new layer on your map.

LAYER INFO - Learn more about specific map layers with a single right click. Get sources, resolution, tips on using the layer and more.

    RIGHT CLICK any layer and SELECT  


LAYER TRANSPARENCY - Use the Transparency slider to refine the display of your map to get clear combinations of map layers.

    RIGHT CLICK the layer name and SELECT  

    MOVE the SLIDER to the RIGHT to make the layer more transparent.

    CLICK REFRESH to display the new effects on the map.
