Le Trap Recirculator Project
I made it out to the MPA claims to retest my new highbanker.
It was a bit windy but I made good progress on the
Le Trap recirculator project.
I did some filtering of the water this time between the tubs and
a screen on the water pump.
What I found was with careful filtering of the water you can run
as long as you have water. The reality though is it takes a lot of
water, so much in fact that this is not practical to do.
There's so much debris in the dirt that the screens try to clog up all
the time and the water turns to mud in short order. I had considered
making a large 3 water tub system to filter and supply the water to
the highbanker. I used up over a 100 gallons of water and didn't run
that much material before I was out of water. After this experiment I
think the Le Trap highbanker is better suited to working out of a
stream or pond where water would not be a factor.
A great little folding highbanker!
