Alaskan Trommel

Phil and Michele in Alaska built this unique hand cranked trommel
from my plans. Well not exactly to the plan but while deciding on a
motor they put a hand crank on it. Note the easy cleanout side sluice.

Here Michele hand cranks the trommel, this is the ultimate in
lowering the parts count. No extra sprockets and chains here.

This is Phil panning out the concentrates after 8 hours of mining.

This is the take, not bad, wish there was a source
of good gold like that around here. Thank you
Phil and Michele for sharing your adventure with
us lower 48 prospectors.
