Before and After

Here's some nuggets as they are when they come out of the
 ground, dirty and not much gold showing. Be careful
when detecting that you don't throw away
a real nugget covered in caliche!

Here's the same pile after a quick cleanup in acid. They not only look
like gold now but lost about a pennyweight of total weight. This is
rough desert gold from Arizona.
