Nugget Hunting
A deep little nugget.

This has to be the deepest small nugget I've ever found. I used a
Minelab GP3000 with Nugget Finder 16 inch mono coil.
Once I had the hole a few inches deep I switched to a
small Coiltek Joey mono coil to
zero in on the
nugget.

It was a good 16 to 18 inches down. Some say there's no such thing
as a nugget halo but you can't convince me they don't exist. It was
just a faint whisper in the headphones but got louder and louder as
I dug the hole.

Here's that nugget, small and flat. I dig the hole clean inch by inch
when I know I'm on a nugget. So it didn't come from above and
keep falling down as I dug. Besides that, it screamed
louder and louder as I dug
down to
it.

Or maybe it had something to do with the Full Moon at that time.
Whatever the reason, I'm grateful for it.
