Digging in the old tailing piles and feeding the machine.
This is a hungry machine. It will take all you can throw at it.
Sometimes if the digging is difficult it's easier to preload buckets of
dirt.
I even tried it down at the river's edge. This was the first model
of the new
weedeater trommel, it had a small sluice. After this trip, I changed
the sluice
to the Keene A51, as it's much wider and does better at fine gold recovery.
This area has a lot of fine gold. I can't wait to return with my new equipment.
This is a sample of that fine Arkansas River gold.
I want to thank Dennis O'Neill for
letting us prospect on his private property.
