Here Nevada Ralph is testing his new Minelab GPX5000 on a slant/slide target.

This is being done in a well known nugget patch in AZ.

With any new machine things are going to be different on different targets in

different dirt. Here he's got a small nugget on a slide stick in a long slanting

hole to test his machine. Different settings can make a big difference on finding

the local nuggets. Finding the right settings can be difficult but this is an easy sure

fire way to do it.  Another hole  goes down way deeper for larger nugget testing.

This extra effort paid off well for Ralph as he left this area

with a new nugget in his poke
