This is the complete Gold-Gal System ready to go. Pump is shown out of trough for illustration, note electronic pump controller on sluice. The controller is described elsewhere and is a great addition. |
Here are the sluice parts minus latches, not a lot to it. Riffles are mig welded together , input box is riveted and silicone to sluice. The input is a 1" hose adapter with a electrical conduit nut on it. |
The completed sluice box with two types of mats for under the riffles. My gold-gal likes the black rubber better than the carpet. The latches makes it easy to swap things around and do a cleanup with. |
This is the frame to hold the sluice securely when using it, this is the only way to go as you don't have to fight the sluice moving around. The water in the trough holds it securely to the ground. |
This is what its all about, gold, gold, normally if the water is set right it hardly ever gets past the first couple riffles. Gold Gal dirt has been prescreened to 3/16 " and minus before running, thats one secret. |
Here is that pump controller I mentioned it is very simple to make, one transistor, one control pot, and a resistor, and some wire. It will adjust water from no flow for cleanup to full flow which is way to fast. |
This is the inside, switch is just there to bypass the whole thing when the battery starts getting low, like a final turbo boost. |
This is some of that Stanton AZ gold, guess that's why we keep going back. Someday I'm gonna find that mother lode I betcha. |
Here is the Schematic
Diagram for the Pump Controller,
it helps adjust the flow of water.
