Here is what I like to use when detecting to mark targets.
I use a large coil and it's great for detecting those deep
targets but they are hard to dig and pin point with. So
I mark a few good targets with the marker tape and
washer then return with smaller coil to dig them.



Another safety message here.
I know several people that prospect after dark,  please
be careful. In Lost Basin, AZ we saw mountain lion tracks
several times last trip.
