Linda's new Rock Polisher
or
Leather Polishing Wheel

Linda has been asking for a leather polishing wheel to
put that final shine on her lapidary projects. This is
what I
came up with, a 1/3 hp motor with a 6 inch
polishing head and leather polishing pad.

She shaped this stone on her rock saw/grinder.
Then she worked it with a few more grits up to
around 10000 grit, then on to the leather wheel.

Here she's putting the final high sheen on the stone.

Not bad for a back yard rock shop.
