This shows the deflector
in action spreading out the
falling material, such a simple and easy feeder.
This is in the sluice
box with feeder removed I fed some
concentrates to it and you can see the gold
mostly at the
center front of the wire mesh.
Gold is so heavy it doesn't
want to move further.
The Bird House has
groves cut into the bottom side
supports to slip onto the sluice box. The bottom
is
cut at a slight angle so as to set level on the sloping
sluice box.
Plans for the Bird House Feeder
The deflector is just a
piece of tin or alum bent to
adjust the spreadout of the material.

years ago to run those small amounts of material you
