Prospecting with Steve

Steve normaly a dredger up in Oregon came to Arizona to do some winter prospecting.

He joined the local GSSN club out of Las Vegas to have access

to good gold bearing ground.

Steady and persistent is Steve the Prospector.

He's trying everything dredging, drywashing and detecting.

Here he's using one of Fritz Clemens puffer drywashers.

is the president of the local MPA prospectors out

of Kingman, AZ and he builds and sells a very

nice medium sized drywasher.

Steve's done well in this area detecting and is now trying his hand at drywashing.

Getting all that loose stuff off the bottom.

Even using a hand broom to get ALL the little gold bearing material.

So far his best luck has been detecting the area.

Here he's showing me one of his larger nuggets, a 27 dwt beauty.

That's almost 1 1/2 ounce.
