Prospecting Clubs
There are hundreds of prospecting organizations in the US, local, regional, national and international. These organizations are the best place to get access to local mining claims, information on equipment, local geology and good hunting spots. If you are beginning prospector, there is no better way to learn than to join a prospecting organization.
State Geologic Surveys
Each State has its own department that handles geologic and mineral resource mapping. These sites contain a wealth of information available to the public. Take some time and find out what your state has to offer. Click the image above for a list of all 50 state geologic survey offices.
