This is another one of
those must haves, a blue shallow angle gold
pan. This pan is without doubt the best pan for
separating fine gold.
You can see the black sands and the smallest gold and
with careful
panning the low angle helps separate the black sands
from the gold.
My Gold Gal the panner gives this one 5 Stars !
When you start using a
recirculating system (battery powered water
pump
with small sluice) you will find these items very
useful. When moving those
buckets of dirt or concentrates you introduce lots of
grass and twigs to
the
water system. These will soon clog up your pump and
feed and slow down
the water flow to a trickle. When using the two tub
system of recirculating
I let the water flow onto the wood screen filter above
to remove the debris.
If using a one tub arrangement I use the Homemade Fly
Swatter above to
remove the debris floating around in the tub. Sure
makes things flow better!
This is a simple mod I
made to my vac pac I installed a downward deflector
The material is forced to the bottom of the bucket
where hopefully most
of
the gold is dropping out. I believe this has been good
for gold recovery
and
saving the impeller (fan blade on motor) up above that
is sucking the air
out.
Another plus is it won't let you totally fill the 5 gal
with material but
only 2/3
will fill. The bucket is still very heavy at 2/3
full, 3/3 full is
too heavy to me!
I thought it may be a
good idea for a safety msg here. Be sure to look
where
your poking your hands in collecting rocks and climbing
around the hills.
Here
we have a rattlesnake all ready for action, they are
out there. This critter
was
last seen at Meadview AZ near King Tut Gold Paccers. I
was metal detecting
a wash and there he was watching me from the shade of
the rocks
