Along with all the regular member benefits listed below you will receive the twice monthly Claims Advantage Closed Claims Reports delivered directly to your registered email address.
These interactive reports are a compilation of all the mining claims case files in the BLM LR2000 that were reclassed as CLOSED during the bimonthly reporting period. That's 24 reports per year! Each report is broken down by State with Heat Maps for each reporting period. Now you can tell at a glance when older claims have been relinquished by their owners or closed by the BLM.
Claims Advantage Reports are not available from any other source! These unique reports are generated exclusively for Land Matters and are not available through the BLM LR2000 database interface.
NO Internet Connection is required to use the reports. These are stand alone files that can be securely viewed at home, or in the field, in your browser. Each closed claim listing includes a link to the BLM Serial Register Report for that claim so you can view the entire history of BLM actions, an internet connection is required to view BLM Serial Register Reports.
Claims Advantage Reports cover the 12 western mining states tracked in the BLM LR2000 Alaska is not included in the reports. Each State Report can be sorted interactively by any column including, claim number, county, location date and number of years held.
In addition to the 24 bimonthly Closed Claims Reports Land Matters will be including periodic Special Reports free with your Claims Advantage membership. Learn More About Special Reports by clicking on the Special Reports Menu Item in the Menu Bar to the right.
The Zip file download is fairly small Less than 400K
If .zip files are new to you or you are having problems please read below.
1. Unzip - This is a zip file. The Claims Advantage Report is delivered in a compressed .zip format. If you are using a windows machine you my need additional software to decompress the file. If you don't already have one, we suggest 7-zip. It is free and simple and can be obtained here.
2. Open Start_Here.html in your browser. When the file is unzipped, you have a folder named DATA and file named Start_Here.html Double Click the Start_Here.html file and the report will open in your browser.
3. Read the "How-To" tab at the top of the report to get information on how to use the reports.
** If the opening page does not display properly the file most likely still needs to be unzipped. Windows will let you view a zipped file, but not use it. Try This:
2. Open Start_Here.html in your browser.
a. Download the zip attachment from your mail program to your computer. Put it in a folder of its own for the advantage reports.
b. Right Click on the zip file, and select "extract all" then follow directions to extract the archive into the same folder.
c. When you unzip you should get a new folder and a Start_here.html file. Be sure to open your report from the "new" Start_Here.html file, not the zip file.
All that and a full year of Membership Benefits comes with your Claims Advantage Membership. Your membership year begins on the first day of the month following your annual dues and remains in full force through the following 12 months. You will be notified in advance at your registered email address when your Supporting Membership is due to expire.
A personalized Land Matters Membership Card will be mailed to your registered street address. Your Membership Card will have your name and your individual Membership Number printed on the front of the card. You will need your card or membership number to receive discounts for goods, services, discounted events and special offers.
Land Matters Discounted Special Gift Offers. Land Matters from time to time offers Special Gift Offers through our website and newsletter. Supporting Members receive a 10% discount on all Special Gift Offers.
Vendor Discounts. Supporting Members will receive discounts from our growing list of sponsoring vendors. We will notify you by Email whenever a new Discount Offer is available.
The Landmark Newsletter With your membership you will receive all the latest Land Matters news and announcements in the Landmark Newsletter.
Land Matters uses secure PayPal transactions for membership fees.
You don't need to have a PayPal account to pay for your membership through the PayPal system.
